These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LilRoster application and related services ("Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
AGE REQUIREMENT & COPPA COMPLIANCE
LilRoster is intended for adults only and is not directed at children under the age of 13.
- You must be 18 years or older to create an account.
- Children under 13 may not create accounts, log in, or directly use the Service.
- Children may only appear as managed profiles added by a parent or guardian under their own adult account.
- Managed child profiles do not have login credentials and cannot independently access the Service.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
- All child profile data is entered and managed exclusively by the parent or guardian account holder.
In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):
- If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.
- Parents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's managed profile data at any time by contacting us at lilrosterapp@gmail.com.
- We will not condition participation in the Service on a child providing more personal information than is reasonably necessary.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information without parental consent, please contact us immediately at lilrosterapp@gmail.com.
1. USER ACCOUNTS
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and current information
- Maintain the security of your login credentials
- Be responsible for all activity under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
2. ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Post inappropriate, misleading, or harmful content
- Attempt to interfere with or exploit the Service
3. PRIVACY
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use information.
4. FREE SERVICE
LilRoster is provided free of charge. All features — including unlimited teams, scheduling, carpool coordination, volunteer coordination, team communication, and team reels — are available to all users at no cost. No subscription, purchase, or payment is required to use any feature of the Service.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content, features, and functionality of LilRoster are owned by LilRoster and protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without written permission.
6. SERVICE MODIFICATIONS
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.
7. DISCLAIMER & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LilRoster is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
8. TERMINATION & ACCOUNT DELETION
We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms.
You may delete your account at any time through the app.
Account deletion is immediate and permanent. When you delete your LilRoster account:
- Your login identity and authentication credentials are destroyed right away.
- You will not be able to log back in — there is no grace period or recovery window.
- All your app data is deleted (team memberships, children, personal events, carpool offers/requests, notifications, conversations, device tokens, and more).
- Carpool trip history remains accessible via your email address and is automatically deleted after 1 year.
- Team events, announcements, and chat messages you posted remain visible to other team members, as they are shared team content.
- If you wish to use LilRoster again after deletion, you must register a new account from scratch.
Account deletion cannot be undone. By proceeding, you acknowledge and accept that all data tied to your account will be permanently removed.
9. CHANGES TO TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
10. ROLES & TEAM GOVERNANCE
Founding Parent Role:
A Founding Parent is a user who initiates the creation of a team within the platform to facilitate organization of a sports season. The Founding Parent does not retain ownership of the team. Final authority and administrative rights belong to the designated Team Admin.
- A "Founder" (Founding Parent) is the parent who started the team in LilRoster to help organize the season for the group.
- Founding Parents temporarily help organize until a Team Admin is assigned.
- Once a Team Admin is assigned, the Team Admin has final authority over team settings, members, and management.
- The Founder badge is a permanent recognition label and persists even if the user's role changes. It does not confer ownership or permanent control.
- Teams created on LilRoster are managed by designated Team Admins. LilRoster is not responsible for internal team governance or role disputes.
11. CARPOOL FEATURES — IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER
LilRoster provides carpool coordination tools only — including ride offers, ride requests, and confirmed matches. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
No Vetting or Background Checks:
- LilRoster does not conduct background checks, driving record checks, insurance verification, or any other vetting of any user, including drivers offering rides.
- LilRoster makes no representations or warranties regarding the fitness, suitability, safety, or trustworthiness of any driver or participant in a carpool arrangement.
- It is solely your responsibility to verify the identity, qualifications, and suitability of any person you choose to carpool with or entrust with the transportation of your child.
Parental Responsibility:
- Parents and guardians are solely responsible for all decisions regarding who transports their child, including evaluating the driver's ability, vehicle safety, insurance coverage, and any other relevant factors.
- By allowing your child to participate in a carpool arranged through LilRoster, you assume full responsibility for that decision.
- LilRoster is a scheduling and coordination platform only. Using carpool features does not create any duty of care, endorsement, or recommendation by LilRoster of any driver or transportation arrangement.
Hold Harmless & Indemnification:
- You agree to hold harmless, defend, and indemnify LilRoster, its owners, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to any carpool arrangement coordinated through the Service, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, accidents, or disputes between users.
- LilRoster is not a party to any carpool agreement between users and bears no responsibility for the actions, omissions, or conduct of any driver, rider, or parent using the carpool features.
General Carpool Terms:
- Recurring carpool schedules automatically create multiple offer or request entries on a weekly basis for the duration you specify.
- You are responsible for honoring any carpool arrangements you commit to.
- LilRoster is not responsible for any transportation arrangements, outcomes, accidents, injuries, or disputes between users.
Live Location Sharing:
- Live Location Sharing, including geotracking data and estimated time of arrival (ETA), is strictly opt-in. You must actively enable it for each carpool session.
- By default, your geotracking data (GPS coordinates) and ETA are shared only with your confirmed carpool match (driver or rider).
- You may stop sharing your location and ETA at any time.
- LilRoster is not liable for any outcomes resulting from the use or non-use of Live Location Sharing.
- Do not use Live Location Sharing while operating a vehicle.
- Drivers may set optional trip milestone statuses ("En Route", "Picked Up", "Dropped Off"). "Picked Up" can be toggled/undone; "Dropped Off" is final for that session. If a trip is not manually completed by the driver, LilRoster automatically closes the session after 30 minutes of location inactivity or 2 hours past the event start time, whichever comes first. The trip is then recorded as "Completed" with the timestamp of the last known location update. LilRoster is not liable for any outcomes related to the use, accuracy, or timing of trip milestone statuses or automatic trip completion.
12. TEAM REELS — USER-GENERATED CONTENT
Team Reels allows team members to share photos and short videos within their private team. Reels expire and are permanently deleted 24 hours after posting. By using Team Reels, you agree to all of the following:
Your Ownership & License to Us:
- You retain full ownership of any photos or videos you post.
- By posting a Reel, you grant LilRoster a limited, royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, host, and display that content solely to active members of your team for the 24-hour active period. This license ends automatically when the Reel expires or is deleted.
- We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for advertising, marketing, or any purpose outside of operating the Reels feature.
Your Representations & Warranties:
- You represent and warrant that you own or have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to post any content you share in Reels.
- You represent and warrant that your content does not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, or any other rights of any third party.
- If your Reel includes images or videos of other people — including children — you represent and warrant that you have obtained the consent of those individuals (or their parent/guardian if under 18) to be photographed or filmed and shared within the team.
- You are solely responsible for the content you post. LilRoster does not review content before it is posted.
Prohibited Content:
You may NOT post any content that:
- Is sexually explicit, pornographic, or suggestive — especially any content involving minors
- Depicts violence, abuse, threats, or harassment
- Is defamatory, false, or misleading
- Is discriminatory based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
- Infringes any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right
- Violates any person's privacy or right of publicity without consent
- Contains malware, spam, or harmful code
- Violates any applicable local, state, federal, or international law
Children in Content (COPPA & Image Rights):
- If you post content featuring children, you are solely responsible for ensuring you have the consent of those children's parents or guardians.
- Do not post any content that could identify, embarrass, or endanger a child.
- LilRoster does not pre-screen Reels content and cannot guarantee all content meets these standards. We rely on users and Team Admins to enforce appropriate conduct.
Indemnification for Content You Post:
- You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LilRoster, its owners, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) any content you post in Reels; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third party's rights, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights; or (d) any claim that your content caused harm to a third party.
Content Moderation & Removal:
- LilRoster reserves the right to remove any Reel at any time, without notice, if we determine (in our sole discretion) that it violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.
- Team Admins may delete any Reel posted in their team at any time.
- You may delete your own Reels at any time before they expire.
- Reels automatically expire and are permanently deleted 24 hours after posting.
- Repeated violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.
DMCA / Copyright Complaints:
- If you believe content posted in Reels infringes your copyright, please notify us promptly at lilrosterapp@gmail.com with: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) identification of the infringing material and its location; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is unauthorized; and (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
- LilRoster will respond to valid DMCA takedown notices in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).
No Endorsement:
- LilRoster does not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for any content posted by users in Reels.
- If you encounter inappropriate content, report it to your Team Admin or contact us at lilrosterapp@gmail.com.
13. VOLUNTEER FEATURES
LilRoster provides volunteer coordination tools that allow Team Admins to post volunteer slots and team members to sign up for roles at events. By using these features, you acknowledge:
- Volunteer signups may require approval from a Team Admin or League Admin before they are confirmed.
- You are responsible for fulfilling any volunteer role you commit to.
- LilRoster is a coordination tool only and is not responsible for any volunteer arrangements, outcomes, disputes, or liabilities arising from volunteer activities.
- LilRoster does not screen, vet, or certify volunteers. It is the Team Admin's responsibility to ensure volunteers are appropriate for their role.
14. EXTERNAL CALENDAR SERVICES
LilRoster supports importing calendars from compatible third-party calendar providers. Calendar feeds may be connected as personal feeds (for your individual schedule) or as team feeds (for a team's shared schedule).
- Imported events remain controlled by their original calendar provider.
- LilRoster does not modify or delete events in external calendars.
- Users are responsible for managing imported events in the original calendar service.
- Team feeds are admin-managed: Only Team Admins, Team Owners, and Founding Parents can pause, resume, or disconnect a team calendar feed. Regular team members may view the imported events but cannot modify the feed.
- Season transitions: When a season is archived to start a new one, active team calendar feeds are automatically paused to prevent stale events from importing for the new roster. An admin may re-enable or replace the feed for the new season.
- Access revocation: When you leave a team or your membership is removed, your access to that team's imported calendar events is revoked immediately. The team feed itself remains unaffected.
15. NOTIFICATIONS
LilRoster provides an in-app notification system to deliver updates related to your teams, events, messages, and activities. By using the Service, you acknowledge:
- Notifications are generated automatically based on team and app activity.
- You can manage your notifications at any time — individually delete, multi-select delete, or clear all.
- Clicking a notification marks it as read and may navigate you to the related content.
- Notification preferences can be managed in Profile > Notification Settings.
- For each event, LilRoster sends one reminder at the lead time you choose (default 1 hour before; other options include 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 hours, 1 day, or 2 days before). For team events, in-app and email reminders are mandatory and cannot be disabled, as they are essential to team coordination and reliable service operation; push reminders respect your notification preferences. For personal (non-team) events, all reminder channels — including email — can be turned on or off in your notification settings. LilRoster provides in-app, email, and push notifications; the methods available to you may vary by platform or device, and important reminders, cancellations, or schedule updates may be delivered by email when appropriate.
LilRoster is not liable for missed notifications due to device settings, connectivity issues, or user-initiated deletion of notifications.
15a. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
- Push notifications are optional. You control notification permission and preferences on your device and inside LilRoster.
- Delivery is not guaranteed and may be delayed or prevented by device settings, network conditions, Apple Push Notification service (APNs), or service-provider conditions.
- Push notifications must not be relied upon for emergencies, personal safety, or time-critical transportation decisions.
- LilRoster will not send promotional Push notifications without appropriate opt-in consent.
15b. COMMUNITY MODERATION
Team Admins and Founding Parents may review reported content within their teams and may remove content or members that violate team rules or these Terms of Service. LilRoster may also remove content or restrict access when necessary to help maintain a safe and respectful community.
15c. GAME DAY PLANNER AND LIVE TRACKING
The Game Day Planner and Live Tracker are optional administrative planning tools. By using these features, administrators acknowledge:
- The feature is an administrative planning tool and is not an official league scoring, officiating, eligibility, medical, safety, or compliance system.
- Team administrators are responsible for confirming applicable league rules, roster requirements, substitution restrictions, minimum-play requirements, re-entry rules, and playing-time requirements.
- LilRoster's presets and optional rule settings are organizational aids and may not match every league or governing body.
- Administrators are responsible for the accuracy and lawful entry of player information.
- Administrators must have the appropriate authority or permission to enter and manage information about players, including minors.
- Live totals depend on the administrator starting, pausing, swapping, ending periods, and ending the game accurately.
- Network interruptions, device conditions, simultaneous edits, delayed actions, or user error may affect live records.
- Users should not rely on the Live Tracker for emergencies, medical decisions, player safety decisions, official eligibility decisions, or legally required records.
- Only one administrator should actively operate a live session at a time.
- Final summaries are informational planning records.
- LilRoster does not guarantee that Game Day data will satisfy the requirements of a particular league, tournament, school, association, or governing organization.
Existing acceptable-use, account-security, limitation-of-liability, termination, dispute, and contact provisions remain unchanged and continue to apply to use of the Game Day Planner and Live Tracker.
